  • Nervous Nail Nibbling Is Terrible For Teeth

Most people know courtesy of family members, friends, and personal experience that biting their nails is a bad habit. Nail biting can leave your fingers bleeding and sore, and you can give yourself an infection by passing germs from your mouth to the open wounds. However, if you need one more reason to quit, nail biting can also damage your teeth. Here's what you need to know about how your nervous nibbling on nails can negatively impact your oral health.

  • It's Time For The Talk: How To Properly Tell Your Child That The Tooth Fairy Doesn't Exist

Having to break the news to your child that the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist is part of growing up. Some children do not come to this conclusion on their own so it is up to you, as the parent, to break it to them gently. Because a child is so fragile when it comes to believing in magic and wonder, it is crucial that you know the proper way to tell them without breaking their trust.

  • 5 Ways To Encourage Your Child To Brush Properly

As the parent of a young child, you may be concerned about his or her oral health. Still, it can seem like a daunting task to make a youngster brush for two minutes twice a day. However, there are ways to encourage your child to participate in a structured oral health regimen to protect his or her teeth and gums. • 3 Tips To Prepare For An Orthodontic Expander

Whether your child is dealing with a severe overbite or overcrowding of the upper teeth, an orthodontic expander can be a great option for repair. While this treatment is effective, it must begin in the early stages of your child's jaw development. • What To Expect From Your Dental Implant Process

If you are missing one or more teeth, chances are good that you are considering a dental implant. Dental implants are made from titanium and are attached to your jawbone. A titanium implant has a cap on it, giving the impression that you are not missing any teeth. You need to get dental implants if you are worried about maintaining a healthy-looking smile because, if there is a gap between any of your teeth, your other teeth will start to collapse inwards towards that gap.

  • About Me

    Dental Veneers Changed My Life

I have never liked my teeth. I had a lot of dental problems, including deep staining and oddly shaped teeth. Every tooth did not have the same shape, and some were rounded while others were more square. Not surprisingly, I never smiled in pictures and not even much in real life. This left people thinking I was mean before they even met me. My dentist told me my best bet to improve the look of my smile was a set of porcelain dental veneers. He said they could make all my teeth white and the same shape. I said I wanted them without any hesitation, and we scheduled my procedures. I love my new teeth, and they really did change my life. I created this blog to help other people living with teeth they don't like realize that they do have options that can improve their smiles and their lives.
